1. Current availability
The current CoRide build does not provide a self-service account-deletion endpoint, in-app deletion action or public deletion-request form. This page explains that limitation; visiting it does not submit a request or delete an account.
An official, verified privacy contact and a working deletion-request process must be provided before public release. If you are testing privately, contact the person or team who supplied your access. Do not send identity documents or authentication codes through an unverified channel.
2. Controls you can use now
Use Account to edit available profile fields, remove a profile photo, or remove a saved vehicle. You can revoke location, microphone and notification permissions in your device settings. You can log out to end use on that device.
These actions do not automatically erase past rides, bookings, chat messages, payments, verification records or your entire account. Uninstalling the app also does not delete server-side data.
3. What the launch process needs to cover
The release process must explain how to request deletion from both inside and outside the app, verify account ownership without asking for passwords or OTPs, and confirm the outcome. It must specify which account-linked data is deleted or anonymised and which records are retained for a lawful reason.
Retention exceptions, provider-held transaction records, backup handling and expected response times have not yet been finalised. No blanket promise of immediate or complete erasure is made in this preview. These operational details must be settled before this document is treated as a final public policy.
